Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbal medicine is part of an integrated system of primary health care know as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The origins of Chinese herbal medicine can be traced back at least five thousand years, making it one of the oldest health care systems in the world. TCM is the second most prescribed medicine and the most widely researched complimentary medicine in the world.

Chinese Herbal Medicine formulas are tailored to your individual health condition, developed from the philosophy that restoring balance and normal functioning will both treat ailments and prevent other illnesses from developing.

Update 6/8/20 Stage 4 lockdown Melbourne Metro- We remain open & here for you, however..
Chinese medicine is considered an essential service as a registered profession and we are able to remain open. However, we are now ONLY permitted to provide face to face care “if the absence of, or delay of this care, would result in a significant deterioration in the patient's functional independence necessitating escalation of care.”
ie.- To avoid a requirement for specialist input/review
- To avoid an increase in care needs and/or alternate accommodation
- To avoid a hospital admission or emergency department presentation
If you feel you meet this criteria & would like to book a F2F appointment please contact us via reception@freedomchinesemedicine.com.
We are otherwise available for Telehealth consults in which we can assess, connect, prescribe herbs/ acupressure, post herbs/ supplements etc
