First course of treatment is usually between 4 to 6 sessions. But this can vary depending on the individual cases. The practitioner will advise you on this after a diagnosis of the problem has been made. For example, if Acupuncture is going to help a sore neck, back or knee.. you'll know within 4 sessions. If Acupuncture is going to help your long term anxiety, digestion or hormonal issues, you'll know within 6 sessions. That is, if the sessions are as close together as the Acupuncturist advises. This is not the amount of sessions needed to alleviate or manage the problem effectively. But you'll know if it's providing significant relief in these time frames.
