We now stock a high quality range of Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils instore here at Freedom Chinese Medicine in Ivanhoe. What’s the difference? They are 100% Therapeutic Grade and most are edible. This means that if you want to use an essential oil for therapy rather than fragrance, therapeutic grade is the way to go. Our resident Aromatherapist & Massage Therapist, Sue Wellwood recommend’s this particular range as she finds they have more strength and “enhance my practice when I use them”.

 

Cedarwood has a woody, rich & masculine aroma.  It helps warm the joints, easing stiffness and swelling and can provide relief for arthritic pain. It also helps ease bronchial congestion. Great for winter  colds.  Blends well with Bergamot, Cypress, Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Jasmine, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Neroli, Rose, and Rosemary.  

 

 Lavender has a light, floral and refreshing aroma.  It can help relief menstrual   symptoms and also generally calms and sooth a mood. It is great for headaches and improves sleeplessness. Another great oil for congestion, colds & flu. Useful for easing symptoms associated with nausea, colic, & flatulence. Can be used for sunburn and is a hand insect repellent.  Blends well with Bergamot, chamomile, Clary Sage, Geranium, Jasmine, Lemon, Orange, Patchouli, Thyme and Rosemary.  

 

Lemongrass has a strong, sweet and lemony aroma. This oil helps relieve muscular aches and pains. It is great for coughs due to bronchial irritation. Helps antifungal infections like tinea and can also be used as an insect repellent. Blends well with Basil, Geranium, Jasmine, Lavender, Neroli, Palmarosa, Rosemary and Tea Tree.  

 

Eucalyptus has a clear, sharp and piercing aroma. It is a very calming and refreshing oil, that may bring temporary relief from headaches and migraines. It is an excellent soothing decongestant, helping to ease symptoms associated with colds and flu, sinusitis and hayfever. It can also help relieve muscular tension and cramps and also good for arthritic pain. Blends well with Cedarwood, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Lemongrass. 

 

Peppermint has a piercingly sharp and menthol aroma. This powerful aroma that refreshes and uplifting oil, great for cold and flu symptoms it is warming to help muscular tension, stiff and swollen joints, improving circulation in the limbs and can ease the discomfort of varicose veins.  Blends well with Cypress, Lavender, Marjoram and Rosemary.
